Hey Cheryl,

I totally can relate to how exhausting it can be. Believe me! I do have a couple of ideas for you.

One thing to remember is that our kids are very visual. Out of sight out of mind is the literal truth!

So, to help with remembering things--think visual. For example, Rather than put homework in a separate notebook put it in the same notebook that your child will pull out when he sits down in class. Put the homework in a clear plastic sleeve in the front of the notebook so that it is right up front when he goes to open it. The homework will do the reminding so you won't have to!

Same concept with the deoderant, if you put it with another object that he never forgets then he will hopefully remember to use it more often. For example, if he sets out clothes the night before, put the deoderant on top of the shirt he plans to wear. So that goes on first before he puts on the shirt.

I hope these ideas are helpful! :)

At almost 12 y.o (in July), my son still needs too much input from me to get anything done. He has trouble keeping track of his schedule: when he has tests and other school related due dates. Remembering to put on deodorant, losing assignments just between home and school. It is getting exhausting and I am running out of ideas.

I found my husband appreciated it when I asked him the number of affirmations he wanted a day. I was sure surprised at how high it was, but it helped to realize exactly what he was looking for.

I had the privelege of knowing Masel for about 7 years. She was one of my first regular footcare clients at the Hillsboro Senior Center. She was a delightful lady, always cheerful and interesting to chat with. She was also one of my Red Hat sisters over the past year and I know she really enjoyed that as we enjoyed sharing with her. We will remember her for the Mother's day luncheon that she set up for us last year at her church. Always the gracious hostess!!

Aunt Masel truly was an inspiration to what life is all about. With all of the trials and battles she dealt with, she never failed to flash that smile. We are blessed to have all the memories to reflect on to keep her near and dear in our hearts. She will be dearly missed by all.

I was so sorry to hear of your Mom's passing Aunt Masel's wonderful spirit and goodness definitely added a bright light to the world. I remember when she was sick with the leukemia and how amazed and glad we were that she came through it. To live such a wonderful, giving life since is truly a gift to everyone whose life she touched. Your Mom was a great woman, and I know she will be missed, but I truly believe she will be watching over you from above.
